Sail Date: Dec 2022

This was our first cruise at Christmas and first voyage on P&O. We decided on Azura around the Canary Islands as the dates worked perfectly for us.

The ship is very dated for its age and in need of some TLC in the public areas and a good deep clean. It was 50/50 if the toilets would be clean when you used them, bins overflowing floors wet!!! First time I’ve been on a cruise and seen toilets in such states. Only ever seen one set of toilets being cleaned the whole week we was onboard. Other cruise lines we have been on have constant cleaning of the public toilets.

We decided to get the ultimate drinks package. We knew it would be basic compared to other cruise line packages. It was more on the basic side than we expected, very limited cocktail choice and cocktails that were served were of very poor quality. If you drink beer or cider then you would be fine. It was a pick and mix of what type of glass you would get your drink in, might sound a bit petty but when you are paying a lot of money you want basic standards.
