We really enjoyed this trip. It was our first river cruise. The Christmas markets in the ports were wonderful.
The food on the ship was excellent. Especially loved the soups at lunch and dinner. The included wines with dinner were very good.
We did the included tours and a few extras. Most ports had plenty of free time to explore on our own some too.
The "swan level" cabin was small but adequate. We were very comfortable.
We did the Resistance Museum, ReijksMuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank House, an Ann Frank walking tour, a canal boat cruise - a lot to pack into 3 days.
Stayed at Hyatt Regency - a little out of the way, but we enjoyed the extra walking. Room was very nice, and the buffet breakfast was excellent.
We stayed 2 extra days in Budapest. One day did a full day tour with a guide (Parliament, Cathedral, etc) and a half day tour before boarding the ship (Synagogue and Jewish quarter). Also did Hospital in the Rock on our own.
The Christmas markets were great, and many good restaurants.
Stayed at Parisi Udvar Hotel - highly recommend. Beautifully renovated hotel with large modern rooms. Can walk to the Great Market Hall, shopping and many restaurants. The spa was very nice and reasonably priced, and the concierge was very helpful.
