We chose the cruise because we wanted to be away for both Christmas and New Year's. The cruise accomplished that, but we were not as impressed with RCL as we have been in the past. Why? Here goes my list.

(1) We had a balcony room, but the balcony was smaller than on other ships. Also, the bathroom was incredibly small. I kept banging my arms in the shower, and I am not a large woman; my husband is 6'4", and he kept banging his knees when sitting on the toilet.

(2) There are ample places to put your clothing, but the main closet has no lighting, so trying to find what we wanted to wear was challenging.

Cabin Review

As noted earlier, the balcony was smaller than expected as was the bathroom. The cabin steward missed some of the towels. Also, we asked where the tissues were, since there were none in the bathroom. He told us that people were flushing them down the toilets, and this clogged them up, so they were now stored in an unlabeled drawer next to the closet. There were small chunks of wood missing from the bottom of the cabinets, and there were large areas of rust on the balcony.
