My wife and I had been on one other cruise prior to this one. It was on the Discovery Princess to Alaska in June, 2022. We enjoyed it very much. So we decided to take the 15-day cruise to Hawaii, from LA, on the Crown Princess in December 2022. There were no health restrictions required and we felt that it would be a safe trip. One of our hard-shell suitcases was cracked when it was delivered to our stateroom...not a good start to the trip. The stateroom had a balcony and was nicely furnished. But the initial set of towels in the bathroom had what looked like blood stains on one of them. Our stateroom stewart was very accommodating in handling any of our concerns.

Food was OK. But the dinners in the Da Vinci Restaurant, at the same table, were excellent and well serviced by the waiter and drink girl. Desserts were superb. As non-alcoholic drinkers we could not attest to the drink quality and service. We had one breakfast in the Da Vinci Restaurant. Our coffee order was taken after about 10 minutes and arrived 10 minutes later. We weren't served our breakfast until 45 minutes after we had arrived. My wife ordered an omelet which she said was cold and like rubber I ordered over-medium eggs which were overcooked and yogurt with fruit. The yogurt was delivered plain and when I asked for the fruit, the waiter brought a plate with large pieces of fruit that I had to cut up. We did not have breakfast there again. Thereafter, we had the best breakfasts at the International Cafe.

The seas were calm and the weather was great most of the time. We went on two excursions, Maui Ocean Center and Ensenada, Mexico blow hole bus tour. Both were enjoyable.
