Sail Date: Dec 2022
Cabin: Superior Suite

This was our first cruise on RSSC Explorer and we were hoping it would live up to it's 6 star rating. Unfortunately it did not. However, we did enjoy the ship, the food and the entertainment ( leaving aside the comedian).

We booked the 3 day pre cruise in Singapore and I for one enjoyed myself not having been to Singapore in 20 years, so much has changed and so much more to see. Marina Bay Sands and especially the Gardens were amazing.

Embarkation day arrived and we were bused to the cruise terminal where we had to wait in line for check in and having our photos taken AGAIN. I question why as we did this online prior to leaving home, as requested by RSSC. Never mind, the entertainment member who checked us in was charming. Once on board we were left wanting where to go and had to ask for directions, nobody actually welcomed us on board.

Superior Suite

We had a Superior room on Deck 9. Beautiful suite, plenty of room but could have done with an additional chair. Fridge well stocked. Double basins in bathroom. Good size verandah with comfortable wicker chairs which reclined.
