We choose this cruise for the itinerary. We had previously been on the Oosterdam and like this size ship. One thing to know about South America, is that most of the ports are industrial ports and require a shuttle to the cruise port entrance for any independent tours and in Buenos Aires, all passengers including those on Holland America Tours. Just keep this in mind when choosing the starting time of your independent tours.

Great dining room wait staff and hosts. A bit slow on service when we left Miami, but we were told that they just took on new staff in Miami. After a couple of days service was in a timely manner.

We enjoyed the Rolling Stone Rock Room band and the Ocean Bar band. Game show in the evening were fun and lighthearted.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

Our stateroom 5073, a VA verandah cabin was well located and nicely set up. Only complaint was room was hot and it never changed after we reported it to maintenance. Our room stewards were great, and the location was good for avoiding motion sickness. We had great weather, so no motion sickness problems on this cruise. (I have had some motion sickness on other cruises)
