This was my 12 cruise on Princess and they have always been great. Some of the problems on this one were outside of Princess' control but there's no excuse for the cabin problems.
The first day my cabin was cold but I'm not one to complain about things normally so I just let it go. Changing the temp on the thermostat didn't do anything. The evening of day one my TV went out. I suddenly had a message on the screen that it was trying connect. Silly me--I just assumed it was a satellite problem and that it was all the TVs on the ship so I didn't say anything.
The second day the steward asked me why the room was so cold. I explained that the thermostat wasn't working and he said someone would come to work on it. I also asked about the TV and found out it was only my cabin and the cabin next door that were having problems. He put in a work request to get that fixed too. That afternoon someone did come and open up my ceiling and work on the air conditioner. The solution was to just shut it off which meant that my room soon got too warm. The TV was another whole issue. I think I had repair guys in my room three days in a row and no one could fix it. They would work for a while and then say they had to go back to the office to get something and never come back.
I always get a balcony. The weather was awful so I wasn't able to use the balcony very much and there was bird poop on one of the chairs which wasn't very appealing.
