We heard from former cruisers that this was a good river cruise so we wanted to experience the spirit of Christmas in Europe. The store decorations were fantastic! Christmas shops were also wonderful with a lot of handicraft and local specialty foods. Meals on the ship were great! different menu everyday and the servers were very attentive. We made great friendship on this cruise with two lovely ladies from San Francisco. We always made great friendship on Biking river cruises because of the small size of passengers on river cruises.

But the excursion lunches were disappointing. Both days in France, we signed up for paid excursions because they included local speciality lunches. First days we had baked chicken legs and plum pie, second day we had escargot appetizer with chicken pot pie as our main meal instead of Alsatian Choucroute as advertised in the brochure. We were so disappointed we had to get some choucroute at the Christmas booth later, which was so tasty and cheap!
