We chose this cruise since we could drive to Fort Lauderdale from the villages, Florida and we didn’t have any family coming to visit over Xmas. A ten day cruise seemed like a good idea. Driving to the port, parking and embankment was unbelievably smooth. We arrived around noon so missed the crowd, if there ever was one earlier. No wait at all. Our first impression of the ship was 5 stars. It is only 2 years old and in beautiful shape. We took the drink, Wi-Fi and tip package so not to have to worry about any charges during our stay. My only regret on that is I tended to drink more than I should have, probably to satisfy my desire to get my moneys worth. Bad idea. Princess has this compass gizmo which is incredible. You can find your mate anywhere on the ship and bartenders can see it is you in front of them to give you your drink sometimes without asking for your ID. The process app has a compass to give you directions to anywhere on the ship. For this reason alone, Princess will be our goto cruise line. The cruise directors Jody and Jayson were great, high energy and really made efforts to get everyone involved without embarrassing anyone. What we enjoyed particularly is the compadre of the staff and we enjoyed them getting involved with the guests either dancing along with everyone and showing they are really a team. Even the cleaners and cabin staff would make eye contact and smile so you know this ship management is going a good job. Dinner menu’s were comprehensive and hit their mark. If you didn’t like something, you could order another or two appetizers, deserts etc. very accommodating. We are a 67 year old couple so didn’t care for the lack of rock walls, zip lines etc. the entertainment in terms of venue’s and music was right up our alley. The five skies and rock show were excellent. We didn’t get off at most of the ports, instead enjoying the openness of the ship while it was less crowded. Only one small negative is the ability of hoarders to claim a deck chair for the entire day. On sea days, you can see most chairs empty with a claimed towel draped over the back. Security don’t want to get involved as it is a no win for them. Overall, well done Princess and the enchantment crew.

Cabin Review

It was about 220 sq. ft and plenty of room. Can’t complain about space because you want more, you pay more so not the ship fault if you are not satisfied with the space.
