This cruise fit our calendar wonderfully and allowed us to get away for awhile and be pampered. The ship is lovely, in our estimation, the perfect size. In spirit of openness we are Elite with Celebrity so we do get some perks. We boarded easily, 25 minutes from curb to stateroom. Ship was tastefully festive and the crew was gracious and welcoming. Our Cabin 8038 was spotless, soothing and had a good balcony - only complaint is the small bathroom but thank goodness it was a glass shower door and not the gross shower curtains found on other lines. Dining was generally good to very good, the Lido offerings were incredible and tasty. MDR was equally good and had a few standouts. Our only "beef" with the MDR is they no longer offer fixed dining at the same table and the same crew, we had to request this and strongly urge the maitr'd to provide us with this which he eventually and possibly a little reluctantly did. The only big dining mis-fire was the Tuscan Grill, not worth the price, Food was ok but uninspired and not really that special. I was shiocked at the end of the meal when I ordered the italian Strawberry short cake , and there was not a strawberry to be found! Just some over sweetened strawberry syrup over stale poundcake in an overly sweetened italian cream. They should have been embarrassed serving this to their guests and I noticed upon departure others had not eaten any of the dish. WE loved the shows they were excellent - the production cast was very very good with some stand out talents. The trio NYC3 was wonderful and really had the theater engaged and participating. We we were so impressed we booked 3 future cruises with the onboard future cruise team. We had been away from Celebrity for over 5 years , but we are now back. The crew to a person was friendly and gracious and we enjoyed interacting with them and especially enjoyed chatting with the bar tender in the beautiful Sky Bar. One pet peeve, do not have family hour in the solarium, that area is for adults and kids have so much space they can use elsewhere. All in all fantastic cruise, the best short cruise we have taken and far better than the other options sailing from Miami in terms of Ship, quality, everything!!!
