Second cruise on NCL in 18 years, now I know why we waited this long. First cruise on on NCL Majesty and that was average at best. We cruise often and just came off on RCCL Oasis and that was outstanding. This cruise fit our time slot and was out of NY, very convenient. This is where the good began and ended. Ship was four hours late getting into Port Of NY due to rough seas, understandable. The overcrowded conditions in the terminal were deplorable. Overcrowded with no direction from embarkation staff as what was happening. We boarded the ship four hours late cutting into day one of the cruise. Except for the Garden Cafe buffet restaurant all the other inclusive restaurants were below average to inedible. One the first night my broiled salmon was way overcooked and tasteless. Steak on the second night could have been used as a boomerang. Service in the dining rooms was very inconsistent. Waiting 45 min for a lemonade almost every night was a little much. Breakfast was a good experience except waiting for coffee to arrive was another thing. The entertainment was ok at best. Our cabin steward was outstanding and cabin itself was clean and comfortable. This ship itself was beautiful and very clean, that was a plus. During disembarkation back in NY the cruise director is announcing that the process is being temporarily suspended due to overcrowded conditions in the terminal building as she was saying this we were walking off the ship. Communication here was nonexistent. P.S Bermuda was beautiful and fun to explore.
Never again NCL.
Small but clean and comfortable
