Quantum of the Seas Review

Cruising has become very Americanised with the whole industry being effected by money and not a holiday to remember.

Cabin: Ocean View with Large Balcony

After a break of seven years i thought i would give cruising a go again with so many world class large passenger ships visiting brisbane, what could go wrong. First the boarding was handled very well with minimum delay. The cabin was very good except for a continual smell of methane gas escaping from the overflow in the bathroom. After many peaceful nights cruising in the past the continual noise eminating from the wall behind the bed was a little discomfortating and kept me awake most nights.all in all not a cruise or ship i would write home about. The menu at the main restraunt was similar if not identical to the menu i had on my last cruise on the diamond princess seven years ago. Eating at the windjammer with te rest of the passengers seemed to be the go as the quality of food and vairity went down as the cruise progressed. With the lack of entertainment and a comedian who did his show twice with the same jokes became too much. Luckily for caribbean australian tourists dont expect too much and certainly the quantum of the seas proved this in spades. I think this cruise has removed my thoughts of ever going on another cruise in the future.
