My girlfriend and I sailed on the Carnival Fascination from July 1st to 5th, 2010. We are both in our late 20s and this was the first cruise that either of us have ever been on.
HOTEL
Before I write about the ship, I want to write about the hotel that we stayed at in Jacksonville the night before and after we sailed. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Blount Island. This hotel is an ideal choice whether or not you are flying or driving to Jacksonville. If flying, I highly suggest (a travel agent will also suggest) that you fly into Jacksonville the night before the cruise.

Excellent view from the balcony. Quiet location on ship and spacious. Sitting area next to bed and a small table are nice additions to the room.
