For our initial trip to Europe, we wanted a “ First Class” sampler platter. The hope was to visit several different countries without having to change hotels for each location. We figured after “the sampler” we could plan to return to any particular area we desire.

We have previously cruised several times in the Caribbean. The previous cruises were all nice, but we determined we did not need to cruise again due to several reasons that made Viking appealing. (No casino, no smoking, no one under 18, no photographers constantly trying to sell you pictures, all cabins offer patios, included beer & wine with meals, free airfares, included excursions with local guides at every port)

The Viking cruises had been described as the thinking persons cruise instead of the drinking persons cruise. This is an accurate assessment. We did not see one person who had overindulged with alcohol! Read more
