This cruise was a disaster from start to finish…but the worst part of it was the food and the rude waitstaff/bartenders….I was genuinely shocked at how horrible the food was- at least 75% of what we got was inedible…baked goods were dry and tasteless and the items that should’ve been hot were consistently COLD ….i even saw flies on the baked goods…rotten fruit etc…I actually ended up losing weight after ten days onboard…

Besides the food- our balcony cabin leaked condensation/water and had a sewer smell from the toilet - so when we complained they upgraded us to a suite….nice in theory- but the window near the bed popped and crackled with the movement of the ship so loudly that I ended up having to move the sofa to the front of the cabin and sleeping on it…my companion was given earplugs but they didn’t help Much… the upgrade really wasn't much help…the folks at the front desk were nice and tried to help but there really wasn’t anything to be done except pray that the whole thing would be over soon so that I could eat a decent meal and get some sleep!!

First time on Holland America and I definitely would NOT sail them again!!
