We were looking for a different adventure, not your typical luxury cruise. Viking did not disappoint. The new Octantis is luxury in every respect and crew was very attentive and experts in their fields. Flexibility is key in the Antarctic as weather changes quickly and this means the activities planned for each day also change. The expedition staff was excellent, each knew their jobs and gave the greatest attention to safety and comfort. Specialists gave wonderful lectures on many aspects of the Antarctic including weather, mammals and history. Food was over the top great for every meal.Prepared to order in the grill and the special sit-down restaurants, and the buffets offered wonderful variety morning, noon and night. Never a dull moment. I will note that if you have any trouble with walking or balance you should not try to go off the ship because you will put yourself and other in danger.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Nordic Balcony

Cabins are very comfortable and efficient. Heated floor in bathroom was great to have and the drying closet keep all the expedition gear dry.
