This trip to Antarctica was a bucket lister. It exceeded my expectations in so many ways. The ship, Octantis, is a delight. It was so comfortable and even full was full of cozy nooks. The staff was truly excellent. The Expedition team was so good and made things so enjoyable for the passengers. My only negative is that many people reserved multiple excursions while others could not get any. This was partially offset by getting on a wait list. I really can’t say enough about how the staff, including the Captain, did everything they could to give us the best experience they could safely provide.

The sea conditions, weather and wildlife availability are beyond the control of the ship, but it became very obvious that the Expedition team and the captain constantly worked to modify the itinerary to maximize the experience for the guests. Even after a major change was required by the necessary medical evacuation, everyone worked to come up with a new routing that resulted in a wonderful experience.
