Before I start on anything else, let me say that Viking is still my preferred cruiseline.

I loved my days and nights on the Viking Mars, surrounded by (mostly) like-minded people and crew members who went out of their way to make things as (Covid-)safe and as serene and comfortable as they might be. I loved our cabin and all the different onboard spaces, and I even enjoyed the smooth “At Sea” days, which I had previously dreaded!

But this particular “Bangkok, Bali, and Beyond” cruise is either a dog itinerary, or Viking is really slipping on its excursions! Backing up, my first complaint is that once you have finished the cruise, Viking erases all “My Viking Journey” records of what you have done, how much it cost, etc etc. I wanted to submit a negative review of our first paid excursion, (something Blue Mosque), and didn’t have time to write it then, but now I can find zero details to which I may refer, OR even an easily accessible place to submit it on their site… Why is that??

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

No complaint with our cabin at all! At first our Nespresso machine wouldn’t work, but it was immediately replaced by our room steward - who also then gave me extra capsules!

It was a serene and comfortable haven.
