Wanted to go to Panama and see the Panama Canal. My husband and I had never been on a cruise but we heard great things about Viking cruises. Viking caters to the more mature crowd with no children allowed, no casinos, no glitzy shows. What they do offer are balconies with every stateroom, included excursion at each port, several specialty restaurants, delicious food at all the restaurants and buffets, wine and beer included with lunch and dinner, staff that always smile and acknowledge you, educational lectures and port talks, a wide range of people performing classical music in public areas, and musical presentations in several venues. Even though the ship is almost 8 years old, it is meticulously maintained and looks brand new. The best part is that everything is included in the price of the booked cruise. No nickel and dime unless you choose cocktails, one of the optional excursions, or spa treatments. I can see why so many Viking cruises are sold out for 2023 already. Looking forward to our next Viking cruise.
