We decided on this cruise because we wanted to spend a few days in Rome before the cruise. Having time to visit the Vatican, the Colosseum and other wonderful sites in Rome was priceless. And Viking employees were at the hotel to answer any questions we had. On the ship, employees were friendly, helpful and ready to do whatever they could for your comfort. The ship is beautiful with plenty of quiet areas as well as an theater for entertainment, which we really enjoyed. While cruising you can take advantage of spacious outdoor areas for relaxing, walking, pool, hot tub and even games. they also have an inside pool and hot tub with a retracting roof to open when the weather permits. Food was amazing! The ship has 4 restaurants, two specialty that you make reservations for, a main restaurant and a fabulous buffet that is huge and offers everything. There is also one more food option pool side for snacks and lighter fare. All in all, a wonderful cruise on an awesome ship with truly amazing crew.
