We have done 2 previous river cruises and this was our first Ocean Cruise. We were very impressed with the travel and transfer arrangements that Viking had made for us. If you are like us, which are cautious travelers to first time destinations, Viking is the cruise company for you. Once you meet your Viking representative at the destination airport EVERYTHING is taken care of for you. We feel like VIP's once in Vikings care. The included tour in each port is a great overview of the port city and is by no way a low cost short tour. Also Viking has a complementary shuttle to the city center from the port. The ship staff takes care of all Visa requirements and passport stamps, so that the time in the port is maximized. The food on board is OUTSTANDING and is like eating a 5 star dining restaurant at each meal. The staff is so friendly and made us feel at home and welcomed and greeted us whenever we saw them. The sauna was outstanding with a large whirlpool Hot and cold room, all included with the cruise. Even while working out on the elliptical machine, an employee offer me a bottle of cold water. Our Cruise director Aaron was outstanding, letting us know what to expect in each port and whether tipping or price bargaining is customary there. PLUS he has an OUTSTANDING voice and was an EXCELLECT singer.
