This is the third Royal Caribbean cruise I've been on, but the first time we've decided to take one of their bigger boats. We usually travel on Carnival, but have also been on an NCL cruise recently. We were disappointed by this cruise in a few facets, and probably wouldn't take a RCCL trip again unless friends/family do. It wasn't an offensively bad experience, just...average. Nothing incredibly over the top special or that I feel I would miss on another cruise line, whereas I felt that way on this ship...missing things other cruise lines had.

Just gonna list off the mehs first:

1. Average food on the buffet and main dining rooms. There are a lot of generic choices available all the time during buffet periods, and they're serviceable. It's what I would expect to pay cheaply for at a grocery store hot bar. For the "specific cuisines" that change daily, they would usually SOUND good and then be just alright, and usually not a large selection of those. If you like having the same things every day, you'll be happy. The food also managed to feel like it had been sitting out all day even if you showed up right as the buffet opened. The main dining room was better about this, with the food being pretty fresh. Definitely a step up from the buffet. I would have liked the vegan choices to be listed on the menu by default, not because I'm vegan, but because their choices sometimes sounded better than the regular choices.
