My husband chose this cruise because the ship was new. We have been on multiple cruises before with not only Norwegian but also Royal Caribbean, Princess and Carnival. This ship by far had the nicest stateroom of all. We had a balcony room and it had lots of storage space with his & her closets. The bathroom was large with a good size shower and again, plenty of storage space. One complaint though was there was no conditioner or lotion in the room. Be sure and bring your own unless you want to pay a ridiculous price in the hard to find (almost hidden) sundry store. We were disappointed with our balcony. It was very large which was nice with 2 comfortable chairs and a small table BUT we were on the 13th floor towards the front of the ship and had a solid wall on our balcony. If you were sitting in the chairs all you saw was this wall! We were expecting glass so that we could sit on our balcony and have a view. It would have been nice if this would have been disclosed before we booked that room. We paid more for the balcony but had no view! We tried booking our 2 free specialty restaurants included with our package about one month before our cruise only to find that they were all booked up before 8:30 or 9pm. Evidently you have to book these months in advance to get an acceptable time. The food in these restaurants was good, but definitely not great. We booked Cagney's Steakhouse and I ordered the filet, medium rare. It came out perfect as far as how done it was and the flavor was ok however it was dry (no juices or moisture). I could understand if I had ordered it well done but medium rare should not be dry. Just glad we did not pay extra for the meal. We had several meals in the main dining rooms and the service was good and the food was also good but the same menu was served all 7 days in both dining rooms. There were multiple choices on the menu but always the same day after day. Not what we were used to on cruises and a little disappointing. The buffet had nice choices and decent food but it was very difficult to find a place to sit. They needed much more seating for passengers.

Entertainment was very limited. They had 2 main shows and the sound system was so loud that it was hard to enjoy and also bright lights flashing right in your eyes from time to time which was very annoying. They had two comedians (one which we loved and one which we hated) but could not even book those after we were on the cruise. We had to just go and take our chance getting in the room. There were two very good bands/singers and then one very bad one. However, they all were playing in the atrium which was very small so most people had to stand while watching. I have always found lots of entertainment of all other cruises I have been on however this one was definitely lacking. My husband and I went to our room several nights due to the fact that there was nothing to do. Now, about the free wifi they include with some plans. You may as well have nothing. The wifi does not work at all! It is so slow that you really can't even use it. My husband was very disgusted!! Well, this review is getting way too long so I'm going to stop. In summary, if you want a really nice room with lots of storage and a large bathroom, this is the ship for you! However, if you want a little more than that you might shop around.
