Chose this itinerary based on only 14 day out of NOLA. Do not enjoy Jamaica anymore but wanted to experience Panama Canal and Limon Costa Rica. Really enjoy Bonaire as we love to snorkel at Klein Bonaire. We also became Platinum on Carnival this cruise and we’re eager to see what perks this would bring.

The good:

Embarkation was easy and though we arrived 30 min ahead of our appointed time slot as we had to exit the hotel, with our Platinum status we were whisked aboard and able to go directly to our stateroom and drop off our carry on luggage. ALL the staff were genuinely happy and eager to serve. We had no problems getting chairs on the pool deck on any days as we had an older crowd I guess.

Cabin Review

Premium Vista Balcony

We had inside cabin 9228, port side forward. Bed was very comfortable. Everything worked well. Poor water pressure in the shower at times but no big deal. Cabin steward Hendrawan and his team were exceptional. Several times we very low water pressure in the shower. Otherwise the cabin was comfortable and clean.

Port Reviews

Aruba

Chose a sail and snorkeling excursion through Carnival that was very good and we had a lot of fun.

Bonaire

We always take a water taxi to Klein Bonaire to snorkel the reef then wander town and have drinks.

Cartagena (Colombia)

Was initially thinking we would stay on the ship but we’re pleasantly surprised by the terminal area and all there was to see so spent the day there.

Cozumel

Rented a car and drove the island as we usually do stopping here and there for drinks and food. We really enjoy Coconuts on the windward side of the island as it has a great view and is, well, a great place for drinks and food.

Puerto Limon

1st time on Caribbean side of Costa Rica. Spent the day at Playa Bonita on the beach. Was nice. Love this country having spent quite a bit of time on the Pacific side.

New Orleans

We love cruising out of here. The food is fantastic, the culture intriguing, the city has much to see and do.
