This was literally the worst experience I have ever had on vacation. The staff were inept, their english terrible. They ignored all requests regardless of how serious. I was not alone in noting this, having met dozens of passengers with the same issues with the Guest services staff. The cleanliness of the cabin was horrible. I found the previous passengers trash under my bed, which remained there the whole cruise, never removed by the cabin steward. Shower had no hot water. Towels were dirty, smelly and threadbare. EVERYTHING was about the up-sell. Constantly trying to sell and charge a premium for everything (PLUS a 20% gratuity on top of that) NO AMOUNT OF MONEY would get me to sail with Norwegian again. No complaint / issue was resolved. (and we went right up the chain) Food was lacklustre. No safety and health protocols. Missed ports with no information about this until the last minute, despite the fact they knew A WEEK in advance. Bad communication, over-priced, jaccuzis tepid at best. Spa staff were egregiously rude, especially the manager. They deserve to be fired. I am all for employing people from all walks of life and different countries, but if they are in a customer facing role, SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND English. Everything I asked them was met with a "Huh?"! grunt. No manners. No charm. Rude, hostile, useless. AVOID NCL at all costs.
