Had been on Reflection before, and it's a beautiful ship. Have written cruise reviews before, and always try to be fair, mentioning the high points as well as the low. We are not wealthy, nor high maintenance.(Since we couldn't go anywhere or entertain during Covid, I stashed that money to splurge on these cruises). This was our 14th cruise; only had suites on last four. We were in the exact same suite (Signature 4109) as we had on Dec. 11, 2021 cruise, roomy and gorgeous, high ceilings)with a jacuzzi on balcony as well as in bathroom. All of the crew members were lovely, friendly, and eager to please. The entire ship is immaculate and beautiful. Our cabin steward Fahmi, was very sweet, helpful, and took good care of us. We saw three shows, and they were all good. The Porch and Lawn Club are still great (Gianni, who works in both) was great. Sushi on Five great as well. Plumbing leak was addressed in about 5 minutes, when Fahmi showed up with a plumber. Can't get any better than that. Noticed a lot of the cushions and upholstery had been re-covered since last year. Fresh and clean. Excellent and quick embarkation and disembarkation. The very sweet couple in the Reflection Suite (large, beautiful suite in bow of ship above the bridge) invited all the people in our hallway (6 suites) to a cocktail party, and our butler (we all had the same one) did a good job arranging for sushi, and an array of appetizers. We got gelato on Deck 5 twice; delicious, with super-fresh waffle cones.

Now, I guess I have to address the negative: Ordered room service breakfast twice; both times missing items, such as assorted pastries, no syrup for pancakes (one step up from hockey pucks), wrong kind of pancakes (ordered plain, got blueberry). Couldn't control temp in either living room or bedroom; so cold, I had to wear socks to bed. Couldn't get wine fridge below 66 degrees Fahrenheit all week, while butler is telling me it is fine. Never enough ice. They knew it was our anniversary from the questionnaire we submitted (as well as our TA), but not even a balloon, or an anniversary wish. Effy sent a $200 coupon specifying it was for our anniversary (if I spent more than $600), so they knew it. Again, our butler last year, Gordon, spoiled us with balloons, towel swans, and rose petals. It was so over-the-top, it was almost embarrassing. We didn't expect all of that, but it wasn't even acknowledged.

As for the food: It has declined tremendously. Murano isn't what it used to be, although we had a great waiter, Yandhi (Bali). Went there twice, last night with my DD and SIN. S-I-L ordered lobster cooked and flamed tableside, with shallots, garlic, wine. Looked great until we tasted it. Overpowering taste of mustard. IMO, mustard doesn't belong in lobster. The duck in Murano used to be fabulous; not so anymore. Had good chateaubriand for two, DH had good rack of lamb twice, but salad was beyond awful. IMHO, this chef, Daniel Boluud puts out some strange flavors in the name of haute cuisine. We are not fussy eaters, but it has to taste good.....quality over quantity. We are not fans of buffet dining, but found ourselves doing that for breakfast or grabbing a piece of pizza for lunch. Luminae has good breakfast, but closes at 9:00 A.M. Asked Luminae waiter for fresh ground pepper for my caesar salad, and he did not understand. Cacio e pepe in Tuscan Grill way undercooked. DH & I both had a good filet in Tuscan Grill (went there twice). Had cheeseburger at Mast Grill. Uncooked in middle. Second time, got a hotdog. They had no relish, so I got mustard, and chopped up onion ring myself. Got 4 bottles of liquor in duty-free to use up OBC's. They no longer deliver to your cabin; you go pick it up the last day. This has changed since our last cruise on Apex in March. I read this over, and sound like such a spoiled complainer....Sorry. I would love to go back on Celebrity, and I realize they were seriously hurt by the pandemic. DH and I travel on our taste buds......give us 1/2 as much, but give us good quality, and we'll be happy.

Cabin Review

Overall, the suite was clean and wonderful, with a few glitches mentioned above.
