The main reason this cruise was chosen was location. Being the first cruise since covid, this was a family cruise with 12 of us and was the closest since all were driving. We all parked at the Fulton Garage. That worked out great with the free shuttle. Boarding went fairly quick. Lido was open for lunch but only one elevator at all 3 locations working as the rest were being used to load luggage. We did get into the room by 1:30.
We had all downloaded the Carnival Hub, which had maps of the decks, events, dining menus, etc. For $5 (each) you can add chat, to text with others in your group. Save your money. It worked a couple of times the first day and not after that. My son bought the $100 internet...save your money on that also. I saw a couple of people demanding refunds on the chat. I did not want to stand in line for the $5.
All the crew we met was very pleasant, no complaints with them. Some things have changed since our last cruise. When we went in our room (deck 8 Verandah with balcony), no ice bucket or glasses, which we did ask for and received. The refrigerator was empty and unplugged. We did not bother with it.
