It is clear the cruise industry is struggling with getting experienced help and cutting corners wherever they can. The dining room food was so bad, we only at there 3 nights and gave up. Everything was old, dry, tasteless. Really...I haven't seen food this bad since the old days when a Carnival cruise was $400 for the week. It took around an hour and 15 min from seating to dinner. We never even made it to dessert. The buffet was terrible. Everything looked and tasted like they used the absolute cheapest food they could find. It was also not very sanitary. People, being what they are, drop spoons into the food, spill crumbs from one dish to another and there was no one there to clean it up. I told one employee that there was a spoon and food crumbs in the whipped cream, so he got some new whipped cream, took the spoon out with his bare hands and just poured right over the old stuff. The whole Windjammer experience was just so gross. After 9pm, your only option is pizza that honestly seemed like it probably cost 10 for $1 and then wasn't even cooked fully. So bad.

The entertainment was your typical cruise fare, but again, seemed like they were just dialing it in. The same 70's night they've been doing for 20 years. There just wasn't much going on and many passengers were talking about how boring it was between ports. The pool tables are great, but then there are 4 sticks that probably cost $10 brand new and have clearly been there a long time. There wasn't one stick that wasn't broken in some way.

The excursion desk is just about non existent. The desk has no way to show them to you and has no information other than what's on the website and no public access to the website, so you must download the RC app and use the ship's internal network to view them. All the desk personnel is there for is to help you pay for whichever one you choose. Don't bother asking any questions because they don't know anything about them.

Cabin Review

The cabin was smaller than I am used to with the old fashioned tiny bathroom, but it was okay. Service to the room was good. Storage was good.
