This was a our first cruise since COVID, and our first cruise on Princess. RCCL is the only other line we have sailed with.
The ship was very beautiful, and everything seemed brand new. We had a balcony cabin for the first time, and it was great! We will probably never go without a balcony again.
Food was good. The buffet exceeded expectations with the variety of foods available. I was pleased with the roominess of the buffet area since the areas on the RCCL ships I have been on are simply not large enough and people are climbing all over each other.
M241--We loved it! Near the elevators that go right down to 2 dining rooms!
We looked forward to this port because of the snorkeling, and it did not disappoint. We booked independently through Belize Exotic Adventures since the ship did not offer the type of excursion we were looking for. I cannot recommend Exotic Adventures highly enough. They took us to Caye Caulker to snorkel on the reef there. The boat ride was beautiful, the island was beautiful, and the reef was a wonder! I would go again. Exotic Adventures worked very hard to make sure we saw everything there was to see. They were also very safety-conscious.
Pretty beach but nothing unique. And plenty of locals trying to separate you from your money! I do recommend the massages on the beach. They exceeded my expectations!
We took the Cenote Hopping excursion through the ship. It was a lot of fun. We went to a beautiful park where some cenotes are located, and we swan and kayaked in them. Some local Mayan-descended people cooked us lunch. All the food was very fresh and tasty!
We also zip-lined, which was not in the description of the excursion. And we got back to the ship a little late; fortunately, Princess does not leave anyone behind who goes on an excursion booked through the cruise line.
