We had been booked on Arvia maiden voyage and disappointingly that was cancelled so we chose this cruise instead. We got such a great deal we decided to treat ourselves and book the following cruise too 7 nights Northern Europe Christmas markets which included my birthday. Embarkation was a very long queue outside before you even got to the terminal building and had to queue even more probably 1 and a half hours. Because everyone turns up at the same time despite being allocated a specific check in time. No thorough check of documentation.

Beautiful ship once nicely decorated for Xmas. Nice cabin 14601 but woefully inadequate storage space. Wardrobe not tall enough to hang long dresses. No drawers. The lighting was very poor dark areas on dressing table and by TV. No face cloths, conditioner, bar of soap, shower caps if that's what you're expecting. No cabin service in evening but that didn't bother us.

Great freedom dining at 4 restaurants. Food not the best in MDR. Some tough chewy gristly meat. Lack of veg and it was quite firm. No amazing desserts. Inconsistent portions some massive some tiny. Buffet breakfast good but you had to ask for bananas never known that before anywhere. Buffet lunch not so good. Best food for us was at the Olive Grove and the Quays.

Vigo

Shopping centre directly off the ship. Lots of fish restaurants in town, bars, shops and El Corte Ingles big department store.
