This was a Thanksgiving cruise and we had a balcony on the 6th floor. I have been on the Pride and Legend at least 2 or 3 times before this cruise. Maybe part of why I was so disappointed was because of all the things they took away. One thing I always took advantage of was a free in room limited -menu breakfast. We like to stay up late and sleep late when cruising and having your coffee and a muffin in room was absolutely necessary for us. With a limited mobility issue and a diabetic person, just having that fruit, bread, and coffee delivered without having to get up, get dressed up etc was highly appreciated. Of course we could order room service for a cost but we spent enough and I get super irritated getting nickel and dimed to death. Another issue was they stopped the 24 hour soft-serve and pizza! They have nothing 24 hours. The pizza is open super late (not all night) but the ice cream closes early and opens late. It is usually after midnight when I get ice cream...not anymore. It's just so sad that Carnival is so poor (I assume) they had to make these horrible changes. A separate issue is we all caught covid on the ship, most likely because they don't require testing anymore. We didn't show signs until the last day and the next day. Testing was a real pain when it was required, but getting covid was worse. (I've been on 4 previous post covid cruises, all with required testing and did not get sick). Even though I have an April booked, I just don't know if I will sail again with Carnival.
