Having sailed with Viking before, choosing them again was an obvious choice. I was going on this trip as a birthday present for myself, and took my mother along with me. It was her first time out of the country. Viking was everything we both could have hoped for with this experience.

The fact that they take care of booking the flights and the airport transfers reduces a lot of the stress of traveling right off the bat. The ship is lovely, clean, and always comfortable to be on. The staff goes out of their way to make sure everyone is always having a good time, with little touches that make all of the difference. The food is excellent; I know I always looked forward to whatever the chef had planned for every meal. They’re also very willing to accommodate any requests about the food.

The port experiences are also great; every port has at least one included excursion, and it’s usually a quick guided tour that helps you get the feel for the city before you venture out for a bit of time on your own. Read more
