We read and watched lots of reviews and everyone raved about Viking.
Everyone on staff was so genuinely kind and friendly. This was our first trip to Europe and we felt so taken care of, from our flights being arranged and a number to call if we had any problems, to them meeting us as we got off the plane, to taking us to the hotel in Rome for our 2 day extension, and being in the lobby to help us with any needs while there, getting us back to the right door at the airport, and all the well done excursions in between. We loved the roominess of our cabin, the balcony, so many places on the ship to relax, 4 pm Tea, great dinners, port talks about the next day's adventures, the spa, pools, bars, and meeting other people but never feeling like it was crowded. One of the couples we made friends with told us about another cruise they really loved, and we actually booked it for June '24!!
And there are no hidden charges! The only thing at the end on our bill was $10 for a yoga class :-)
Even though our cabin was the least expensive, the only thing that meant was that we couldn't make reservations at the 2 nicer restaurants until embarkation. But it was not a problem
