We had cruised with Norwegian once before and enjoyed it, but this cruise went beyond our expectations as far as staff, ship amenities and cleanliness, and ports. My wife and I splurged on a two bedroom suite and it was perfect. The main bathroom is outstanding and the size of the balcony and main living area are spacious. It comes with a butler and concierge as well as a cabin steward, and all were great. The food was good to excellent in all the restaurants we ate, and the staff throughout the ship were friendly and seemed happy to be there. We didn't go to all the shows, but we saw a few and they were very good for the most part. The lounge and bar service was great, and the ship was clean and appeared freshly painted. We enjoyed all the ports and took ship excursions on all but one (we opted to take a private overnight tour to Luxor to avoid all the time wasted driving). The excursions are a little out of NCL's control, but all were good other than a sub-par experience in Jerusalem due to the guide. Loved the cruise and especially loved our suite.

Cabin Review

The two bedroom suite is beautiful and spacious. The standout is the main bathroom, but the whole cabin is exceptional.

Port Reviews

Abu Dhabi

The city looked beautiful, but unfortunately we took an NCL excursion that was mostly driving with very short times at a few spots. We had also booked an evening tour through NCL but this day excursion ended up being late so we missed it.

Aqaba (Petra)

We chose Magnificent Petra and we weren't disappointed. The guide was knowledgeable and best of all, left us to wander on our own. Incredible place...

Dubai

Dubai was wonderful. We stayed an extra three days and could have stayed for much, much longer. So much to see and do, and the cleanest, friendliest, most modern city we've ever visited. The people are fantastic, the architecture is breathtaking and we loved everything about our stay there.

Haifa (Tel Aviv)

We chose the Caesarea and Jaffa excursion and it was nice.

Jerusalem (Ashdod)

We were looking forward to this port but were disappointed in the tour guide, so the day wasn't the best. We chose the city tour and the guide lost track of the group members so we ended up wasting a lot of time waiting for them in the old city. He also allowed us 15 minutes on our own to shop in Jerusalem but demanded we only go to the Tourist Info shop which had prices 3-5 times other shops (my wife snuck next door to another shop). Not a great day, which is unfortunate and not to be blamed on this historic city.

Muscat

We chose the hop on, hop off bus and were glad we did. Muscat is beautiful, safe and clean and we walked throughout the main port area and enjoyed a pleasant day shopping and sightseeing.

Safaga

Since the tours to Luxor are around 3 hours each way, we didn't want to waste all that time in the car, so we opted for a private overnight tour in Luxor and were glad we did. Egypt is something else... A little out of my comfort zone a few times, so make sure you travel with a guide so you're prepared. Very aggressive salesmen, and a lot of poverty, but the historical sites are beautiful. Some very sad looking work horses and donkeys unfortunately which bothered us quite a bit.
