We chose this cruise because we wanted to sail out of Port Canaveral on a Norweigian ship for Thanksgiving. We may have mistakenly thought that since it was a huge ship that it would be more luxurious than smaller ships have been on Norwegian cruise lines but were wrong. First of all we were waiting in cars for over 4 hours to even board the ship due to a problem with ship leaving NY. By the time we were able to board it was a fiasco with people pushing and shoving to get on because they were tired of waiting. After that there several issues one being our toilet in our room barely would flush here and there and we kept asking to have it fixed and it finally was 2 days before we disembarked the ship when cruise was over. Secondly we had to go to service desk daily because they kept losing credit card information. We would be in line to get a drink and would be rejected and told to go to service desk over and over. Thirdly, the internet that we expected to use to check our messages for our business was sporadic and then it would get stuck and eat up our minutes and we had to to service again and again. There was not always an employee on duty so we had to wait for hours. Then the employee would be smart alec to us like we were annoying him. He talked down to us. Fourthly the the food was sub par for a Norwegian cruise. We had sailed on the SKy several times and the Sun also and really liked the food. We thought bigger ship better experience but not so. Food was partially cooked and cold alot of the time on the buffet. Due to almost 5000 passengers onboard the waits at the bar were over half hour each time to get a drink. Once was close to 45 minutes. There were maybe 2 bartenders at each bar. It seemed that the gambling was rigged to us and to most other passengers we talked to. There were absolutely no winners for 7 days!! Everyone lost over and over again. I am very suspicious of this and think it is sad that it might be rigged but for 7 days and everyone losing there is something fishy. Overall it was ok for a cruise but we would seriously consider going with another cruise line next as this was supposed to be a great Thanksgiving getaway and we only do 3 or 4 days normally so were excited to extend to a week and then felt very let down and just wanted cruise to be over and get off the ship.

Cabin Review

The cabin was ok but nothing special. We were in cabin 5130 and noises overhead all night long were horrible. Sounded like bombs going off. It was clean and was nice when toilet could be flushed and we didn't have to go find a bathroom.
