This is my second sailing on Virgin. The first one was in 2021......so they had a year to tweak the overall experience. They did make some big improvements.....such as adding more live music. They went from 1 band onboard to 3.....as well as adding more show's. I think this was the original plan, but it took them awhile to execute due to COVID. They update the rooms already....for the better. They added more onboard activities.....but many of them cost extra.....I hate being nickeled and dimes and I expect better from Virgin.
What really needs improvement is the food temperature.......they offer great venues, at no cost....but everything was cold/warm. Sure they reheated what came out cold, but it should have been right the first time....not cold/warm every time. You try to have more land based type venues, but the food comes our typical cruise ship food temperature. I pray they fix this. The give you the Galley instead of a buffet.....but the hours are not convenient, it is not open late & not everything is open at the same time. I am not sure that is because the lack of help or that is the way it is.
Sailing on cruises that had first about 700 people and now 1500.......when the ship sails at the 2700 capacity, we might be looking at a too crowded ship for the spaces that are available. I love Virgin and will sail again next year, I just hope they make those few improvements...they do seem to listen....but I hope they don't start to heard sailors onto the ship like cattle.
Overall the best Cruise Line private destination.
