I had wanted to take a cruise on the Mardi Gras with family but missed out due to hurricane Ian. Little did I know there was a brand new somewhat identical ship heading my way to the home port of Miami in November. The Carnival Celebration was indeed a surprise. Compared to the Harmony of the Seas, the largest cruise ship I’ve ever been on., the Celebration felt even larger still. I enjoyed this ship, it’s crew, the servers, and everyone right down to the carpenters, painters, and cleaners maintaining her. They all greeted me all the while maintaining this brand new gleaming ship and that gave me the reassurance and confidence that Carnival CCL is starting to do things right. The bars and bartenders were top notch. Perhaps the best in the cruise industry. All the restaurants provided so many good dining options that I felt no need (nor time) to visit the buffet area. My cabin was cosy, my bed was comfy, and I had sufficient closet space for all my boots lol. My only gripe with this ship was its entertainment area towards the middle of the ship. The idea of having an entertainment and show venue in the middle of the ship was a good one but the seating and viewing arrangement was executed poorly. In the evenings I missed out on all the shows because of poor views and no spaces available and this was a shame because you can tell the entertainers put so much effort in their work. Fyi,,, Unless you grab a seat on the 6th floor in the front area early on before the show starts all the other floors or seating areas will have floor or ceiling obstructions.
