Our trip began in Tallahassee on November 25th when we drove to Ft. Lauderdale the day before our cruise. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn ($268/night) In Dania Beach. The next day we left the hotel at 9:45 a.m. for the port and, after dropping off our luggage, we parked at the port in the Palm Garage near the terminal ($15/day). The garage has automated payment of parking fees, so take the ticket with you and pay at the machines by the elevators when you return.

Embarkation went smoothly and we boarded the ship at !1:00 am. We went directly to our room to pick up our sea pass card (outside the door adjacent to the room number) and drop off our carryon luggage. We had lunch in the Oceanview Cafe and made our speciality dinning reservations near the entrance to the Cafe.

The design and decor of the Celebrity Apex is stunning! The crew from top to bottom were more than amazing! Being our second time on the Edge class of ships, we were more impressed than our first cruise on Edge.
