NZ cruises are normally a lot more money, so we jumped onto this. FOOD was good and varied with USA style bbq and Chinese being very popular also great grilled sandwiches. Beer is reasonably priced when you purchase 6 in a bucket @ 7.50 each. While spirits a bit expensive @ 12 or 13 dollars ea. Good entertainment for a budget cruise. The theatre has room for small drink tables and was quite comfortable with bench style seating. Service was mostly of a high standard but no beer or wine service on the Lido during lunchtime. A highlight for me was free drinks including cocktails at the Captains parties x 2, was a great night. Casino was large and modern with many new gaming machines. The big negative for me was the lack of duty free liquor. Apparently the stock didn't arrive in time for the sailing!! That was pathetic and they didn't rectify when in NZ either. Also I found the toilets to be rather cramped and limited in number. They also lacked paper hand towels...blowers only! Free movie selection in the cabins was a plus for watching in bed, but the ship lacked a dedicated sports bar for watching sports on a large screen...they did however broadcast the big football ⚽️ games on the outdoor cinema screen. Took me a while to warm to this ship after being on quantum of the seas but as they say ...size isn't everything!

Cabin Review

Need better quality pillows.

Port Reviews

Christchurch

Flat easy walking. Compact city, nice for a self guided tour. Loved the botanical gardens and museum. Lots of coffee shops. Riverside markets are great for lunch.
