This is my second MSC cruise and they are definitely making progress. The food is wonderful. I know there are people that complain about the lack of diversity on the buffet but....while the buffet does have the same basic options night after night...that doesn't mean you have to eat all of them every night. There are plenty of options to choose a different meal from the buffet every evening! And the meals in the dining room were also exceptional. The shows on Divina were not as spectacular as they were on Seashore in November 2021, but they were still worth the time and the employee variety show was terrific! My favorite area on the boat is the indoor pool area...I call it the jungle room. My only complaints about MSC at this point are these...1. Put out more pool chairs, especially on sea days. There are never enough chairs out, yet there are stacks of unused chairs strapped off to the side and empty decks above the pool area. This makes no sense. 2. They really need to understand that customer service is key. When we sailed Seashore last year there were major issues at embarkation - MSC blamed the port and did not even offer an apology. We stood outside, in Miami, for four hours! We were rerouted due to a medical emergency on board causing us to miss a port and arrive home 5 hours late. No compensation at all! On this trip something happened during debarkation and the line to disembark was at a complete standstill for over an hour. People with mobiity issues were having to sit on the floor. MSC offered no explanation and only announced, DISEMBARKATION IS SLOW IN MIAMI....I have cruise in and out of Miami multiple times....it's not the norm! But no true explanation was ever given. MSC needs to understand that giving a simple explanation as to what is actually happening makes it easier to be patient and wait. And, while I didn't feel that there was any need for compensation for the delay in disembarkation, I did feel that compensation was owed for the other trip. Missing a port and arriving 5 hours late when people have flights planned is not acceptable. Things happen that can not be avoided...but you still have other passengers who were inconvenienced and they deserve more.

Having said all that about customer service, I am still booking new clients on MSC ships and I do love the ships. They are worth a try and I am excited about the growth we are seeing in our area. I just hope that they realize they just need to step up in the customer service area.

Port Reviews

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve

Ocean Cay is one of my favorite ports in the Caribbean! Excellent for snorkeling, relaxing, swimming, water sports. It's quiet, doesn't feel crowded, excellent lunch and shopping. And if you are blessed to be there at an after sunset stop...be sure to catch the Lighthouse light show!

Nassau

Nassau is fine to walk around just inside the town.
