Sail Date: Nov 2022
Cabin: Concierge Class 2

Sailing from Tampa, arrival to the ship took almost 2 hours to go less than a mile. The embarking process went relatively smoothly albeit somewhat lengthy. Once in our Concierge cabin, despite repeated attempts we were unable to speak with the attendant until late the next afternoon - more than 24 hrs after arrival. (Most of the crew was terrific.) Cabin attendant was unreachable the entire cruise - no cell phone. Communication was via post 'em notes. Room was not appropriately cleaned every day. Afternoon snacks were rec'd only once. At best, towels were roadside motel quality - small and skimpy. Restaurant team was wonderful. Service was attentive, but time between courses was long. eg dessert on last evening took more than 45 minits to arrive - kitchen issue. Food in main dining room was unexceptional (steaks/beef were tough with little flavor), certainly not what we had experienced before on Celebrity's other Millennium class vessels. Execution could be improved upon in several areas. Service in the lounge was lacking. Entertainment consisted mostly of singers and small group musicians, not the production entertainment from the past. This is an older ship and it shows. Hopefully, the execution and other issues were the result of the pandemic impact and will be corrected in short order. Relaxed luxury this was not.
