We took this cruise as our delayed honeymoon due to COVID. We are both fully vaccinated and boostered as those were the guidelines when we first booked this cruise. While we tried our best to maintain distance from others, frequent handwashing, and wore masks on the tour buses, we both tested positive for COVID 2 days after we got back and symptomatic. People packed onto the elevators like sardines and several people were coughing and sneezing without covering their mouths. This happened everyday unfortunately. A good amount of people completely ignored the handwashing stations in Oceanview despite an employee stationed there asking people to please wash their hands.

The Panama Canal transit was amazing. I do suggest going to several different places on the ship to get different views/perspectives. Deck 5 will put you right at land level while in the locks. The Retreat wasn't the best place for taking photos due to the glass in the way that was dirty from the sea. My advice would be to book an Aqua Class suite so you can have access to the deck off the spa that is only acessible for people in these suites. There you will have a complete forward unobstructed view.

If you love nature, you will love Bonaire. It's not built up like the other islands. Their roadways are not the best and flood quickly in a lot of areas when it rains. The excurion we took in Curacao took us around town and to Mambo Beach. We could've done without this stop as it wasn't what we thought it would be. They do give you reserved beach chairs next to a restaurant but most of them are very worn and not comfortable. We took the bridge and butterflies tour in Aruba and loved it.

Cabin Review

Sky Suite

Loved our cabin 11205. It is on the opposite side of the magic carpet so our view wasn't obstructed. We had our butler put a lounger on our balcony and remove one of the chairs. There was plenty of storage and liked how the mirror in the bathroom opened so you can see the ocean and gave it more natural light. The placement of the trashcan in the bathroom makes it very difficult to use. It is hidden under the sink and you have to get down on your knees to open the lid and place any waste into it. We ended up taking it out and putting it somewhere that's functional.

Port Reviews

Aruba

There is no more natural bridge, just the baby bridge. Apparently the original natrual bridge fell into the ocean years ago. The area it is located though is absolultely beautiful. Our tour guide was very nice as well. You can easily walk into town from the port and was nice to explore.

Bonaire

Would definitely go back to Bonaire. I liked that it wansn't built up and not very touristy.

Cartagena (Colombia)

The free zoo right at the port was absolutely amazing! We originally had an excursion booked to the national bird aviary but due to weather we cancelled it. We are very happy we did as we heard that many people who went on excursions at this port had a very difficult time reaching their destinations. The roads were so badly flooded that the taxis couldn't even make it into town.
