Sail Date: Oct 2022

We sailed October 22 to November 5, 2022 on American Cruise Line, The Splendor, from St. Paul to New Orleans but it wouldn't let me put the correct date in.

We called 4 times asking about the conditions of Mississippi River. Even though they just returned doing the same cruise and had similar problems, they lied to us and stated everything was fine but cancelled 2 stops. By the time we arrived they had cancelled 5. We were grounded several times for long periods so we missed more ports and shortened time. This trip should have been cancelled. They just lied to us. They missed 3 food deliveries so they were missing key items. Food sometimes fair, others not. Service sub par. No security on boat. Our room numbers were on key cards. We had to question how they knew who was aboard or off boat until they made a list to check you. Not enough safes, no internet, wi-fi, spotty television, an empty defibrillator cabinet and lack of replacement sheets and duvets. Said they have been thinking of changing their system. Should have been done before they put this boat on the market and at the price they charged. Very chaotic with few updates from captain. We have cruised 29 times on all size ships and have never encountered this lack of honesty, quality of service and food all at an extremely high price, $25,000.00. We feel we are owed some compensation and not in the form of a discount on a future cruise. This cruise should have been cancelled but because of dishonesty and greed it was not
