The price and ship quality were great. The cruise was very well managed and the expeditions (and expedition staff) were stellar. I did have a theft incident onboard from my bags when the ship was loaded and hurtigruten did little to either investigate or follow up on the report. I had 2 crew members tell me about how they were underpaid in a bid to obtain higher tips, but this also left me with the impression that I cannot trust the staff. In fact despite having the "do not disturb" sign on my door I had my steward enter my cabin 3 times without permission. Makes the theft seem more reasonable given how the crew behaviour is (not) moderated by management. The ship however was amazing. Top of the line new technology and amenities and the excursion staff from Norway and other places were great. These people made the experience worth it. Dining staff are poorly trained. I caught 2 of the male staff rating the female passengers at lunch time which was poor behaviour and training. They need floor managers to keep the staff inline. The cuisine was great.. high quality ingredients and prices onboard were ok.
