Sail Date: Nov 2022

I took this cruise in November 2022. (The drop-down menu won't let me change from January)

I had cruised previously with American Cruise Lines on a paddlewheel on the upper Mississippi River and I wanted to see the lower Mississippi this year. I learned they had a brand new boat called the Symphony and I wanted to see how it was different from the one cruised on last year.

It was very different! Everything is shiny and new of course, but I really liked that they had a central staircase in the middle of the boat with a skylight above. They also have a nice back deck area where you can get a meal without going to their restaurant. They had options like pizza, burgers, nachos and healthier wrap sandwiches. The food in the restaurant was good as well, much like I remembered from the previous cruise, but it was nice to have other options.
