The Beyond is all about everything Celebrity does great: great service; beautiful spaces; wonderful entertainment; and an elegant atmosphere. Celebrity has moved many of its best people to the Beyond. There are still many people in training, and the ship is short staffed. But the staff work hard and most are top notch. We were at 78% capacity (2500 out of 3200) but it rarely felt crowded. The ship has two great entertainment casts -- one for the main stage and another for Eden. The production shows in the main theater are some of the best you will see anywhere. The Eden performances add essentially a second nightly production, so you get double the entertainment. The problem with Eden is that it is a small venue and can be hard to get a seat. The acrobats in particular are fantastic. The orchestra is excellent, although the musical acts are just OK. The boy band was a fun touch. Silent disco is a blast and DJ Colors in particular had everyone dancing. The comedian and magician were average. Food overall was excellent, although dining in the main restaurants was slow. Waiters were hustling but were short staffed so no help with filling water glasses and getting orders. Special orders will slow things down even more. There is no longer set dining times, so it can be a bit of a challenge to navigate the reservation system. It is best to make timed reservations as far ahead as possible (as soon as you book) on the app. The Spa Cafe and Eden Cafe are both excellent for healthier fare. Beware Cafe Al Bacio as the glass case with deserts will destroy your diet! Cruise director Luigi is energetic, fun, and mingles effortlessly with the guests. Guest services is helpful. The casino was always active with a good assortment of tables and machines. We went frequently and made our daily contributions. Never saw Captain Kate, which was a bit of a disappointment, but Captain Demetrios is personable and has a great, extremely dry sense of humor. The ship's layout flows perfectly, but we wish it had a promenade deck for shaded walking (sadly, manly of the newer ships have eliminated this feature). Our main complaint was the cabin. It is plenty big and has a great layout but we don't like the infinite veranda. We especially did not like it when the window did not seal properly and rattled all night. Apparently this has been a problem with many of the infinite verdanda staterooms since Beyond started sailing. Many people complained about banging and rattling in their cabins at night. This happened during rough seas but also calm seas. It was maddening. Celebrity has to do something about this. It is the only thing that gives me hesitation about sailing the Beyond again and reduces my star rating to 4 from 5.
