We chose this cruise because we have cruised 6 times with Carnival and have always had a wonderful time. They called to offer us some special deals on upcoming cruises and we said “Why not do something different for Thanksgiving this year?” and we went for it.
We always cruise out of Baltimore or NYC because we live in CT and we prefer to drive as opposed to flying. No cruises out of NYC this time of year so the Legend it was!
Embarkation in Baltimore was an absolute breeze. Very, very easy and fast. We had priority boarding and were on the ship by 12:30, rooms ready about an hour later.
Cabin Suite on 6 aft. Our AC system never seemed to work right and made a very loud blowing sound all day and night. We asked for it to be looked at, it never was. Balcony door handle was broken upon arrival and wouldn’t “catch”. This was not fixed until day 4. Room had some signs of aging. The shower curtain had spots on it as did the ceiling and the tub. Definitely in need of refurbishing. On day 6 I came back from the gym at 9am to shower and had NO WATER. I had shampoo in my hair as it slowed to a trickle and then shut off. I had to stand in the shower and wait for the water to return which thankfully it did after 5 mins or so.
This port is amazing. We had priority boarding and we expected a wait as we arrived early (supposed to board at 2) and they had us on at 12:30. Debarkation was just as easy! Port had construction going on so we had to debark from A, and we lined up at 9 and were off and at our car by 9:45. Cannot say enough about this port.
