This was our 6th Celebrity cruise and our first on Edge. Embarkation in Fort Lauderdale was very efficient and quick. Rooms were ready as soon as we got on the ship (1pm). There were around 2400 passengers on board this 10 night cruise.

The ship is beautiful. Very modern and clean. Our room (infinite balcony deck 8) was lovely. Larger bathroom than on other Celebrity ships. There were advantages and disadvantages to having this type of room. You were not always able to use as a balcony as the window could be centrally controlled. It was difficult to see through balcony glass once opened as you were looking through 2 glazing units. You had to stand up to see the view. Balcony was essentially part of the room which made it very private. If you aren’t an early riser all you could hear were others opening their electric blinds. They were really noisy.

The entertainment in the theatre started off being above average. There was an Elton John tribute act which was brilliant. The same guy did Billy Joel songs another night and there was a group of 3 guys who did Carole King songs. Apart from that it was pretty much standard cruise entertainment. A comedian, a talent show runner up etc. However, there was excellent live music every night in both Eden and the Grand Plaza. The all girl group Magnifica were excellent.
