Husband and I have been on dozens of cruises on Carnival, Crystal, Regent, Windstar, Viking, NCL, Princess and this our 4th with Celebrity. We had scheduled a family Celebrity cruise for March 2020 when Covid shut everything down. We were leery about cruising but didn’t want to lose our credits at year end. So while the rest of the family made their own plans and some let their credits lapse, we chose this itinerary which provided for direct flights to the departure port. We were very curious how the ship would manage a Covid world. First off, we were stunned by the lack of masks worn by crew and passenger alike. Husband and I were often the only ones masked. This includes on crowded elevators, which we avoided, like the plague. Heading off to excursions was also a crowded experience that almost no one was masked. The shows also were crowded but only once did we feel the need to move away from an obviously ill passenger. We mostly felt ok with our masks until the last day when everyone is forced to leave their rooms so the crew can prepare staterooms for the next cruise. We were in a concierge room so we had a special waiting area. It was crowded and there were many many sick unmasked passengers waiting with us. That’s when I realized that we should have taken the option to roll our luggage off the ship early so we wouldn’t have to wait with the mobs. It is problematic that sick people are forced out of their rooms to wait with the rest of the passengers. Roll your luggage off and save yourself. Husband and my symptoms didn’t start til we were home, thank goodness. Wouldn’t want this on a ship!

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Nice balcony with comfortable chairs and footrests and table. Cabin is showing wear. Stains on carpet. Linens stained. Comfortable mattress. Not much storage for 10 day cruise. Had to use awkward storage over bed.

Port Reviews

Antigua

Fun party boat, music, lobster bbq, beach stop. Lovely crew

St. Lucia

Looking for party catamaran experience like we enjoyed in Antigua. Crew was not as engaged, music not great, beach stop we were swarmed by locals selling from kayaks surrounding our boat. Everyone moved belongings to middle of boat and still many didn’t feel safe to enjoy the beach.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Took boat taxi to Nevis and enjoyed tour and great local lunch and 2 hours at lovely beach, chairs me umbrellas included.
