As a former Viking guest, this itinerary lived up to expectations. I love the well planned longships! After leaving the Viking, we stayed at Ritz Carlton where I found the extra large bathroom much more difficult to organize and get ready. The light and airy environment was relaxing and never felt "tiny". Staff was phenomenal as well as the included tours. We did some optional tours which were well worth the money. The local tour guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. They all spoke English very well. Onboard, the entertainment was top notch. The glass blowing experience was terrific. English tea experience was delicious. There was a live demonstration of apple strudel making and I was actually selected to be the guest assistant! I had a very memorable experience "helping" a trained pastry chef. We opted for a wine experience hosted by the hotel manager. What a great time as we received a great education about old world wine accompanied by delicious wine and cheese pairing. All the food onboard was so tasty that we hesitated to ever miss a meal! Viking is certainly a top vacation option.
